Keep Australia Beautiful have created a new national committee aimed at tackling Australia's litter problems. The most interesting thing about this committee is that each member is under 15 years of age. The latest research shows that adults do most of the littering in Australia, starting from around the age of 15. Do we get lazy? Or do we stop caring? Whatever the reason, I'm working with Keep Australia Beautiful to find children who are able to fix things. We believe that our children could hold the answer to Australia's littering problems.
Introducing The LITTLE Committee
We have selected 10 children, one from each State and Territory in Australia plus a Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson, to form a new national committee of experts called The LITTLE Committee, which stands for the Leading Intergrated Taskforce Tackling Litter Everywhere. As the experts on "not littering" this committee will be instrumental in developing ideas to reduce littering in Australia. The LITTLE Committee is a great opportunity for children to get involved in an important issue that could affect the entire country. These jobs are real and come with real responsibilities.
